Over the years, Emma has assisted numerous parents in implementing or overseeing their child's curriculum for various reasons. Families with children registered in school have opted for Emma's tutoring services as an alternative to full-time, in-person attendance. The Green Tomato now extends this option for grades 1st - 12th, offering tailored tutoring curricula and test preparation.

The essence of homeschooling with The Green Tomato lies in teaching children how they prefer to learn, playing to their strengths and interests while supporting areas of challenge. We specialize in custom-designing your children's curriculum, ensuring it meets all necessary state requirements. Through this approach, your child will gain confidence and discover their strengths and passions as a student.

Academic Coaching is one of our most inclusive services, created to reconstruct how a student approaches their education.

This process is customized to each student and begins with a detailed understanding of the student's current academic performance, areas of strengths and weaknesses, and a thorough review of assessments and evaluations. Upon completion of the consultation, we design a coaching plan to help the student re-learn their way of approaching school, through one-on-one training with a focus on how they can confidently and independently manage their work. This requires a commitment from students and parents; students must put in the work and parents must encourage and support what's being taught. Our goal is to mold new attitudes and habits that the student can use for the rest of their academic career.

Recognizing the uniqueness of every student's learning process and developmental level, our goal at The Green Tomato is to facilitate excellence, regardless of where they fall on the spectrum. We employ a diverse range of approaches tailored to meet the individual needs of each family and child. For families expressing concerns about potential learning differences that may have gone unaddressed, we provide a referral list comprising Neuropsychologists, Educational Psychologists, and Clinical Psychologists. This ensures families have access to specialized expertise for a comprehensive understanding and support system.
